Chemical peels are used to help improve the skins appearance and help rejuvenate the skin in in order to achieve a youthful appearance. It also helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, treat sun damage, improve scars, as well as helps with melasma. During this treatment, a solution that can either be strong or mild, depending on the person skin type and skin needs is applied onto the skin which eventually helps promote the skin to peel off, resulting in new skin. The estimated time to complete depicts the length of time estimated for a student to complete all theory, assignments, in class training, and quotas. Students will learn about, skin review, peel considerations, types of chemical peels, client consultation and include demonstration videos. They are able to work at skin care clinics, med spas and non-surgical clinics. During this course, students will practice chemical peels in a clinical setting with hands on training and work with numerous types of peels such as Lactic, AHA, Salicylic, and Glycolic in order to practice with a broad spectrum of different peels.
